The content is a personal account of undergoing radiotherapy for brain tumor treatment. The aim is to share insights and practical advice, emphasising the importance of accepting the treatment, coping with the mask fitting, and maintaining a positive mindset during sessions. Common side effects like fatigue, hair loss, and nausea are also discussed.
So as we come to the end of March 2023 and the end of brain tumour awareness month, I just wanted to pay tribute to some of the amazing people I’ve met or been inspired by on this brain tumour journey.
My whole philosophy since this tumour turned up has been about looking for the positives, not accepting my fate in a negative way but fighting for all the beautiful things I have in my life… and this situation just perfectly brought all of that together.
I hate admitting that I can be weak, I hate admitting my weaknesses, I hate asking for help. There we go, I said it!

As a parent you always hope you can protect your children from anything that could cause emotional or physical pain but this was a nightmare. My two little girls ended up protecting me with their quick thinking, bravery and resilience.
